RYLAND

For more than three years I’ve been tortured by mile-long legs I want wrapped tight around my hips, hourglass curves I ache to run my fingers over, a lush rack with deep cleavage my dick needs to fuck. And those lips, Christ. Strawberry red and full, framing a wide mouth that stars in my spank bank.

Then there’s her hair. Black and glossy as a raven’s wing, it falls in thick, long waves to the upper swell of her mouthwatering, heart-shaped ass. I want to feel the silken mass sliding over my body while she rides me. See it spread out on my pillow. Tangle my fingers in the gorgeous strands and pull while I fuck her from behind.

And her expressive eyes. I could easily lose myself—drown in the sparkling blue pools. But I can’t. Hallie’s strictly off limits. The deceptively quiet girl I befriended on our first day of freshman year. The one I’ve coaxed and prodded into relaxing and enjoying life. The sweet, serious, cautious girl who astounded me with her depth and intelligence once I gained her trust. And the craziest thing is…she has no idea she’s smokin’ hot, which makes her even more incredible.

My dad and her mom met during the first family weekend event and an instant connection formed. Our parents became close friends. The four of us have gone on vacations together and they even hang out when we’re not around.

Early on her mom took me aside, asked me to watch out for Hallie, keep her naïve daughter from getting hurt by manipulative guys. I readily accepted the job, swore to protect my friend. Since then I’ve kept her close, chasing off any guy who would have asked her out. Those douches won’t get their hands on her. Hallie’s mine. My precious introvert who’s clueless to the fact she holds my heart and soul in her slender hands.

But no more. Last night changed everything. Under the influence of tequila, Hallie shared erotic fantasies that got me so hot and hard I came in my pants without ever being touched. That hasn’t happened since puberty. But watching her palm her tits while telling me what she wants, fuck. It felt like she’d seen into my head and discovered all my sexual desires.

You see, it turns out my little Princess is a dark side lurker who wants to be watched while having rough, no holds barred sex. She breathlessly admitted it all in vivid explicit detail. Right before she passed out.

But that’s okay. It’s all good. I want Hallie sober and clearheaded, knowing who possess her, gives her everything she needs, when I take her for the first time. Then I’m never letting her go.

So yeah, the restraints are gone. There’s nothing holding me back. Tonight I make her mine. And knowing my girl like I do, I didn’t give her time to stress over the party. I made the invite a last minute challenge, a way to prove she’s able to be spontaneous and conquer what she fears most—walking into a social event alone.

But I’m waiting. Watching. Ghosting the halls of the antebellum mansion, a silent dark wraith. Not interacting or even noticing the other partygoers. Not until an electrical charge surges in the air, tingling over my skin. And I don’t have to be told.

Hallie’s here. My wait is over.

Passion. Friendship. Love. Some things a man simply can’t forget… Finn has no idea what he’s doing at a haunted house on Halloween, but his tour guide Caty certainly rocks his world. Irresistibly drawn to her, he indulges in wicked delight and a return to their shared destiny.

Blustery wind swept across Lake Huron. The wintry blast tousled his hair, rattled bare tree limbs, and delivered an unbearable chill from the water. He clutched his coat closer to his throat and lifted his face. Ominous clouds pressed in. Coming rain scented the air.

Honeyed light poured from the house, the glow warm and inviting.

Strange that a haunted house should seem safer and more enticing than the street. Whoever had planned this tour was clueless as to what the public wanted or children demanded. A new group of kids ignored the place, not even bothering to check out the two bicycles abandoned on the expansive front lawn. The bikes, along with rollerblades and skateboards, were the only transportation allowed on the island.

He stilled, not certain how he’d known that. Probably had been on the sign. Nope. On a brochure? He patted his pockets. No literature there. Mystified, he stepped closer to the place.

A young woman stood on the widow’s walk. Her waist-length blonde hair and long white dress whipped in the stiff breeze. She leaned against the railing and offered a welcoming smile.

Intense heat coursed through him. His knees wobbled.

Something creaked.

The front door had blown in…unless it had opened on its own.

Dismissing such a crazy notion, he lifted his hand in greeting to the woman.

Gone. Where?

Shadowed figures passed the upstairs windows, gauzy curtains making them indistinct. The promised ghosts? He wanted to laugh but didn’t. One form stood a head taller than the other. Had to be a man with the young woman he’d seen. The guy most likely her lover or husband.

Inexplicable sorrow gripped Finn followed by acute loss for someone he’d yet to meet. Definitely time to go. This was nuts.

He pivoted.

The scent of violets surrounded him even though no flowers bloomed on the bushes. Drawn by the fragrance, he hurried up the walk toward the house.

A child darted into his path.

He reared back to avoid colliding with the little girl.

Unmindful of his presence, she waved and shouted to her companions. “Hold up! You’re going too fast!”

Laughing, they bolted away and taunted. “Slow poke. Slow poke. Slow poke.”

She ran toward them, tripped on her witch costume, and tumbled to the grass.

“Whoa.” Finn crossed the lawn and touched her arm to help. “You okay?”

“No!” Crying, she shoved spilled candy into her sack and raced to her friends.

They laughed at her witch nose, bent from her fall. She giggled with them and set the thing right.

A gust scented with violets slammed into Finn and pushed him to the house.

Heart pounding, he crossed the porch and stopped in the foyer painted a cheery yellow with white moldings. Furniture from way back when decorated the expansive space.

Footfalls sounded overhead. One heavy. One lighter. The man and woman from the windows. He tilted his face to the ceiling. The couple crossed from room to room, working their way back to the master suite.

His skin prickled. He hadn’t a clue how he’d known that. Wait. The widow’s walk was on that side. Made sense the largest bedroom would be, too. He’d painted enough client portraits in front of and inside Victorian structures to know the architecture.

Relieved, he lowered his face and started.

The young blonde woman from earlier looked at him worriedly, her slender eyebrows lifted. “I’m sorry. Didn’t mean to startle you.” She rested her hand on his arm. “Are you all right?”

More like delighted to have her next to him instead of upstairs with the man…and the other woman. “Yeah.”

“I’m so glad.” Genuine happiness lit her lovely smile.

Her concern comforted and aroused Finn as nothing had in too many years. Warmth rolled through him, settling in his groin, thickening his cock.

Dark lashes fringed her sapphire-blue eyes. Pink flushed beneath her milky skin. Heat radiated from her despite the cold night and what little she wore. Her white crocheted dress was a throwback to hippy finery popular in the sixties, the intricate design bearing flowers and tassels. Silver rings graced each finger, one boasting dark blue stones. None resembled an engagement or wedding band, thank God. The contraptions on her feet weren’t exactly shoes. There were no soles, merely braided leather cords wrapped around her slender toes that she’d then tied to her ankles. Dangling feathers and blossoms hammered from silver adorned the leather to make Bohemian wedding sandals.

His arms goose pimpled. He didn’t want to guess how he’d known the name for her footwear. Never had he been into women’s fashions, especially those from long ago. It was 2016 for Chrissakes, his thirtieth birthday barely past.

She couldn’t have been older than mid-twenties.

“Hi.” He offered his hand. “Finn Gallagher.”

Bliss crossed her lovely features. “Caitlyn.” She slid her fingers over his and squeezed gently.

His hair stood on end, indescribable pleasure filling him. Liking it, he grinned.

Loud laughter rang out overhead. “Did I interrupt your tour?”

“Not at all, Mr. Gallagher. I’ve been waiting for you.”

Ben’s a tough, down-to-earth cop who doesn’t believe in magic, yet he falls for a modern-day witch. Will Ben and Elena's fragile love be lost when she reveals what she truly is?

Genre/Theme:

Ben propped himself up on his elbows to better see the naked woman beneath him. Sheened with sweat, Elena’s lush curves glowed in the reddish half-light of her bedroom, curtained in exotically patterned swaths of gauze and silk. A curl of smoke from a lit incense stick scented the air with sandalwood. Otherworldly New Age music flowed out of a boom box in the corner, irritating the hell out of him.

Elena’s bedroom was that of a gypsy witch, and despite the incredible sex he’d been having with her for a month, he wouldn’t allow himself to fall under her spell. Except for in the sack, she wasn’t his type.

They’d met through their kids, eleven-year-olds who’d attended the same summer camp. Now that camp was over, Ben was frankly grateful that Tom and Gina liked to hang out together, since they seemed to keep each other amused and out of trouble. As a single dad, finding activities for his son was tough. Ben hated to admit it, but he sometimes found that Tom was a distraction from his job.

Ben shoved everything extraneous out of his mind to focus on the beautiful woman he was inside. They were the same age—thirty-six—but Elena was nothing short of spectacular. She always wore an enormous topaz on a golden chain that dangled between her breasts. She claimed she focused her power through the jewel. Ben thought that was wacko, but didn’t care.

Too bad she was, literally, a card-carrying nut. He remembered the time she’d shown him her membership in the Northern California Church of Wicca. He’d concealed his smirk only because he wanted to lay her. And that had to be all, he admonished himself. He was a sheriff’s deputy, and couldn’t afford to have a permanent relationship with Elena Lautari. She wasn’t the kind of woman who fitted in with the rest of his life.

He tried to picture her drinking a beer with the other cops and their wives, and failed utterly.

“What?” she asked, running light fingertips up and down his sides, eliciting shivers.

“Whaddaya mean, what?”

“You looked as though you were ten miles away.” Her caress slowed. “I wonder what the kids are doing?”

“I think they went over to my place. They’re probably watching a DVD. It’s too hot to go outside and swim.”

“Who’s watching them?” Her voice sharpened.

“Aw, Elena, relax. They’re okay. They know what they can and can’t do.”

“Mmmm. Hope you’re right.” She reached for him, this time climbing on top. He wasn’t sure he was ready for another bout yet, but she knew exactly how to turn him on.

*****

Hot and dusty, Tom stood with Gina at the corner of 12th and J Streets in downtown Sacramento. Above him, the door of the Masonic Temple was set within a Gothic style arch made of peach-colored stone. The arch was high and pointed; on each side of the arch, a knight stood brooding, eyes downcast, hands folded over stony hauberks.

He ruffled his short blond hair, trying to cool his sweaty scalp, and glanced over at Gina, who clutched a sheaf of notes in one sticky hand. A basket lay on its side at her feet.

“Can’t we do this on an afternoon that isn’t a hundred-million degrees out?” Tom looked over at the thermometer/clock high on the side of the bank across J Street. It flashed 100 in dots at one second time intervals. As he watched, the number changed to 101, and the time to 3:19.

“We’re actually supposed to do this at midnight.” Gina pushed dark bangs off her damp forehead. “But we aren’t allowed out after dark. Besides, it’s dangerous downtown at night.”

“I know that. Why are we trying to do this if we can’t do this right?”

“You got a better idea?”

“Yeah. Let’s go to Vic’s and get ice cream.”

“We spent all our money on this stuff.” She nudged the basket with her toe. “We might as well go ahead with it. It won’t take very long, and then we can go over to your house and swim.”

He sighed. “Anything to drink in here?” He squatted down and emptied the contents of the basket onto the sidewalk.

“Careful, there’s glass in there. Hey, don’t drink that!” She grabbed a bottle out of his hand. “That’s yucky.”

“What is it?”

“Frog’s water.”

“Like frog pee? Eeewww.”

“Here.” She handed him a bottle of Snapple lemonade.

He drank before passing it back to her. After she’d taken a few gulps, she flipped through the notes and sorted the ingredients for the spell. “Lucky my mom and your dad are really into each other,” she said. “I could never have gotten into her spell book if she was paying attention.”

Savy blinked. And blinked again. Surely Dom hadn’t asked her such a personal question. “Excuse me?”

“I asked, how is your sex life? Witches and warlocks have a very high sex drive. If you aren’t involved with someone, the lack of sex can put a huge strain on your powers.”

Heat rushed to her cheeks so fast, Savy wondered why the top of her head didn’t blow off. She couldn’t remember ever being embarrassed so many times in one day. “My powers are fine, thank you very much.”

One black eyebrow arched, silently saying, “Oh, really.”

“Okay, so my powers aren’t completely fine, but that has nothing to do with sex.”

“So you are involved with someone?”

“I didn’t say that.”

“Savannah. Are you or aren’t you having regular sex?”

His tone reminded her of the high school principal. She refused to be questioned about what happened in her bedroom. Or didn’t happen, since she hadn’t had sex in months. “That is none of your business.”

Savy rose from her chair, picked up her dishes and spoon, and carried them to the sink. The rattle of his spoon against his saucer indicated when he also rose. She gripped the edge of the sink as she sensed him walking closer to her.

He set his cup and saucer on the counter, then caged her with his hands on either side of hers. No part of him touched her, yet she felt him all along her body. “I’m not being a pervert, Savannah. I’m your Master, and it’s my job to take care of my Coven. I have to ask the personal questions to help you.”

Savy stared at her spoon in the sink as it multiplied into two, three, four. If she didn’t get away from Dom, her sink would soon overflow with silverware.

She turned in his arms and placed her hands on his chest, determined to push him away from her. Firm muscles beneath her palms stopped her words. She’d seen him jog past Ruby’s Pizza, so she knew he kept in shape. She longed to explore every part of him, learn the texture of his skin. She yearned to know if his emerald eyes changed color with desire.

She had her answer when her gaze met his lust-filled one. The irises almost glowed with heat.

“Do you have any idea how long I’ve wanted your hands on me?”

Waxing Poetic...

When I was a kid I was fascinated by candles. The way they flickered in the darkness. The way the wax pooled around the wick. I used to run my finger into the hot wax then watch while it hardened on my fingertip. I'd dip my finger again and again watch, fascinated, while the wax went from liquid to solid. The sting and heat held an appeal all their own. Well, I didn't know it, but I'd discovered a budding interest in wax play.

Because you're literally playing with fire, you have to be very careful when you indulge in wax play. First, and most obviously--the flame itself. In order to not burn your house down, anyone indulging in this kind of BDSM play has to plan for fire control - not just orgasm control. Have a fire extinguisher handy. Second, wax is hot stuff - some waxes are hotter than others. Make sure you have ice and burn ointment handy. Remember, safety is a good thing. After you've handled the basics you can move on to setting the scene.

Wax sticks to everything. And it doesn't come out of fabric or hair very well. To protect fabric get a vinyl shower curtain from a local discount store and spread it over your play area. The sub's hair should get pulled back and tucked away.

In researching this I've discovered one important thing. No matter how nice it smells, don't use beeswax. It just burns too hot and while you want to feel the burn...you don't want to experience burn. There is a distinction, however fine it might be.

Preferred waxes - parafin and/or soy based. Both have a fairly low melting point and are therefore less likely to cause burns. Parafin is easy to get and is pretty inexpensive.

In fact, you can go into the grocery story (to the canning section) and pick up a nice block of parafin, if pouring will be involved. There are wax heaters available for therapeutic parafin baths/dips. You can even use a crock pot IF it has a variety of settings. Look for a simmer setting. And ALWAYS...but ALWAYS test the wax on yourself before you start your pour/drip/play. If candles are your thing then use votives, pillars and taper candles for different...effects.

Avoid scents. The oils used to add the scent to the candle will make the wax melt at a higher temperature, so burns become possible. Colors also affect the melting point. Red candles burn hotter than white ones. Players can adjust the heat of the wax by how high above the sub the top begins the drip/pour process.

Grendelkhan
Be sure to avoid puddles because they can cause the drippee to be burned. Spots like the belly button or the vagina need special care. Removing the wax after play can be a bit tricky. A plastic spatula...or if the top wants to inject some mindgame into the play, a dull knife can be used to scrape the hardened wax off the bottom.

The heat. The impact of the drips. The mindgame of the flame and the blade. All of these combine to create an intensely intimate experience between the participants. Sigh. Off to write a really hot love/sex scene now. I'm inspired.

What do you think? Would you be the dripper or the drippee? Are you fascinated by flame and wax which combine to provide a truly exciting experience for adventurous lovers?
