So who's prancing around on your rooftop?
Meet Rocky Claus, Santa's younger
brother. Santa decided that Rocky
would visit all GOOD ladies this year so Santa could concentrate
on the kiddies.
Rocky is so-o-o looking forward to
fitting down your chimney so he can give you one, or two, or three, or
more...wonderful presents...but only if you've been "GOOD"
all year!
Did you write to Santa yet? Be sure to tell him if you've been GOOD
and mention how you'd like Rocky to
slide down your chimney for some fun! Remember to address your letter to the
North Pole...although Rocky spends
his time sunning himself in warmer climates so has a wonderful tan!
My letter's been mailed and I KNOW Rocky will fit down my chimney without a problem
since I've been getting it ready for his visit. I even bought a cute red sheer nightie to wear that has white
trim around the bottom. And with Rocky's red hat with white trim, we should
compliment each other.Rocky likes to wear that hat...and nothing else...so he can present an
uplifting holiday image. Plus, clothes just get in the way and make it more
difficult for him to slide up and down your chimney.
Hurry, ladies. Get those letters mailed today to be put on Rocky's list. You wouldn't want him to miss
your chimney, would you?

Naughty List - Thirteen Naughty Holiday Stories (Anthology) from Amazon Bestselling Authors My story: Dear Santa...I Want a Man for Christmas Blurb: Frustrated
with untrustworthy men, Melissa orders a man doll. When delivery guy,

‘Tis the season for giving thanks, and I have a lot to give.
About this time last year, I was going through a low phase.
I’d been laid off from my job and I just wasn’t sure where to go with my work.
Even more problematic—I wanted to write and I finally had the time to write,
but I wasn’t quite sure how to reboot my career.
Enter the Naughty Literati. Suddenly writing didn’t seem
quite so daunting. The sharing of time and energy, of creative talents and the
determination and talent in the group is humbling. I made my first small steps
back into publishing with my story in Naughty List, which is called Holdin’ On.
On one level, it is about a Christmas miracle, but on another, it is a clear
second chance for the hero.
So when the call came out for stories about second chances,
for the winter holiday anthology Naughty Chances, I took stock of things. With
Naughty List, not only had my character gained a second chance, but my writing
career did as well. A seven year writing block had been successfully conquered
word by word, and my peers actually liked the story! So did readers—thank you
so much for taking a chance on me!
A year later, the Naughty Literati has released five
anthologies and I’ve had a story in each of them. Coming very soon is Naughty
Chances, and my story in it, Take a Chance, is as thematic as Holdin’ On was.
Instead of an ill rock star and the woman who saves him, my hero and heroine in
Take a Chance survived a miracle crash landing some years ago. There had been
an attraction between them that they’d never explored, but the stars align
right this year and neither has anything to lose, except their hearts.
A lot has changed for me personally and professionally in
the last year, and so much has been due to being a part of the Naughty
Literati. So today, I’m giving thanks to every author who had faith in my work,
every reader who gave precious time and energy reading my words.
I was first published in 2007, co-writing with my husband.
We always discussed it, and one day started a “what if” based upon an
absolutely nightmare series of delays. That turned in to a short story about a
couple and another man who are stranded at the airport over Valentine’s Day. We
sent it off, never truly expecting to be published.
To our shock and complete astonishment, we were accepted for
publication with that very book, and went on to write three other shorts, and
were contracted for two more. It was a wonderfully creative time. Then…we
stopped. Writers’ block set in, performance anxiety—yes, it does exist for
writers, too—and we didn’t write a word of original fiction, for years.
A lot of life changes hit, and my husband decided he didn’t
really want to write any more. He loved the plotting aspect, but the actual
getting words on paper and editing them was a problem for him.
While I deeply missed writing, my job as an editor, some
serious life challenges, and just life in general kept me away from most of my
hobbies. Last summer, I was laid off from my job of over a decade and had a
little spare time. I had never expected to feel the fire again, but soon words were
flying from my fingertips.
And then something even more wonderful happened. I was
invited into the Naughty Literati, and had things like deadlines to meet. I had
no idea what to write for Naughty List, but I had the fire to reinvent myself
as Alexa Silver, rather than half of Alexa & Patrick Silver. I looked in my
WIPs folder and found an idea I’d jotted down possibly ten years ago. It was
very simple “dying rock star saves woman. Paranormal please.”
And I started writing it. That story became Holdin’ On,
which you can find in Naughty List. My next story for the Naughty Literati was
something I’d had in mind for ages, but hadn’t actually ever done more than
think about. Love Potion #69 is a friends-to-lovers story with a tiny
paranormal kick, which you can find in Naughty Hearts. And Stay the Night is
another friends-to-lovers story about a bookseller and her favorite customer,
who also happens to be her new favorite author. You can find this one in
Naughty Flings, which is coming out on May 15.
My writing this year has been epic (160,000 words written
thus far and counting) and I have several other releases coming out, plus a few
books that were previously published and will be expanded. That is a scary
prospect in and of itself and probably warrants my next blog post!
I never really thought I could reinvent myself. Back in 2009-ish,
I was certain the writing career was over, and I’m so thrilled to be a part of
the NL, as well as writing like the wind!
Happy reading!
Alexa

Hi everyone! This is Regina sharing a post from my own blog. It's still winter-cold where I live, so a post about a story set in winter seems appropriate! Enjoy!
Recently, I’ve been writing blog posts on what has inspired me to write what I write, you know, those little things that spark ideas that turn into stories. Today is January 18th, and I’ve actually written a story called “On the Eighteenth of January, ’78; or, A Night at Valley Forge”, published in Naughty List, the winter anthology from the Naughty Literati. So, what inspired a story that takes place on such a specific date?
Well, I had just finished and released the new edition of The General’s Wife and was starting to think about a sequel involving the secondary hero First Lieutenant Patrick Hamilton. But before the sequel would be released (it’s not even written yet!) I thought I should release a short story to set the scene. An interlude at Fort Revolution featuring Captain Samuel Taylor and Patrick during the winter of 1778 which happens off-page in The General’s Wife (there’s a story break between November 1777 and May 1778). It sets up an emotional backstory to the (outlined) sequel.
Then I saw a call for submissions for an American Revolution erotica anthology. Who better than I could write such a thing? The General’s Wife is an awesome book! And I had just done all that research… So I decided to write a story. Actually, my friend and colleague, Amber Belldene and I egged each other on to write American Revolution erotica shorts.
And that’s when everything goes blank.
I do not know for the life of me where the story I eventually wrote came from! It just happened. I think it was one of the most creative writing moments in my life. Amber and I exchanged stories and beta read each other’s efforts. Hers was sweet and romantic and gay. Mine was, according to her email, “Super kinky and bizarre and queer.” I think I squealed in delight at that response! When I try to describe it to people I’m sort of at a loss. The best I can do is to say it’s a male/male George Washington cross-dressing role play historical short.
Indeed.
The story was never published in the anthology I wrote it for (I turned down the contract). I’ve always intended for it to be published alongside the above-mentioned Pat and Sam short since the stories take place during the same intense winter of 1777-1778, albeit in different locations. But it’s a damn good story and I kept searching for a place for it. When the Naughty Literati formed, I found its home. You can read an excerpt on the Naughty Literati blog.
“Listen, my children, and you shall hear Of the midnight ride of Paul Revere, On the eighteenth of April, in Seventy-Five; Hardly a man is now alive Who remembers that famous day and year.”
I think hardly an American is now alive who remembers this poem! I remember it from my childhood. I’m sure it’s just an inside joke to me, but that’s why I titled my short story “On the Eighteenth of January, ’78; or, A Night at Valley Forge”.
Naughty List has been out since December 1st, and we’ve made some bestseller lists and gotten some good reviews. I hope that means there are readers out there who’ve enjoyed my story. It’s Misterotica’s favorite of my stories, and might just be my favorite as well.

Christie needed release, and she needed it now. She gulped some air
and started unzipping her flight uniform in anticipation of the next
phase of their play.
“Yes, sir. I understand. Please, sir, permission to touch myself?”
The computer was silent for a moment. Then Blitz’s next message unfurled across her vid-screen. Permission denied.
Christie froze in disbelief, her hand in mid-zip on her flight suit.
What? She glared at his words. Screw that, she thought rebelliously,
and seriously considered disobeying a direct order from him for the
first time ever.
Blitz seemed to read her mind.
Don’t even think about it, sweetheart. I’ll know if you’re being naughty or nice.
Frustration sizzled through her as she stopped unzipping her suit.
Damn her submissive streak. She hadn’t even known she possessed one
until she’d encountered Blitzen. As an experienced sexual dominant he
had recognized her latent submissive qualities right away, and quickly
set about training her in the art of pleasing him during their online
play. Now her body wanted to do whatever he told it to do. And that was
starting to prove freaking inconvenient.
“Ha. What can you do about it from there? Text me a lump of coal for my stocking?”
Don’t sass me, soldier. You don’t want to find out what I can do about it if you disobey me.
Christie bit her lip. For better or for worse, her sexual
satisfaction was now tied to his and she knew it. If he didn’t want her
to come, her body would side with him even if her mind was furious at
them both.
He was probably just teasing her, as part of the cyber play. Maybe some more sugar would help matters.
“I’m sorry, sir. Please? May I come?”
I like when you beg me, Mistletoe. I grow even harder for you.
“Is that a yes?” She asked hopefully.
Nope. My order stands.
“I can’t believe this!” Blitzen had never seriously forbidden her to climax before.
Believe it. I own your next orgasm. It’s mine. From now on, you will save that delight for me to share, control, and enjoy.
She shivered. He couldn’t be serious. Who knew if they would ever even meet, or when?
“You’re ruthless, you know.”
Yes. And you’re sexy as hell and hard to resist. But I mean it,
princess. The next time you climax it will be with your wet pussy tight
around my hard cock, squeezing me with every thrust until I come deep
inside you.
Christie instantly pictured them together on a large bed in full-on,
carnal coitus. Her clit twitched in spasm, yearning to uncork the full
orgasm bottled inside her pussy. She could feel her back arch in aroused
response.
Damn, this guy was good. He had tuned her fantasies so well over the
past two months that she could envision every sexy detail he described
exactly as if he was in the room doing it to her.
Okay, okay! I surrender, already,” Christie half groaned, half
laughed. She struggled to get her rioting body back under control.
It’s not my fault you have a hair-trigger libido, sweetheart.
She could almost hear his warm, male chuckle in her ear.
“You wouldn’t be able to get me so aroused so fast if your
titillating star messages took days instead of seconds over sub-space
frequencies,” she grumbled.
To celebrate the release of Naughty List we are giving away a Kindle Paperwhite loaded with books by the Naughty Literati. The contest runs for 7 days only so don't wait, get your entries in now. Good luck!

“Ahh!” A woman’s startled yell broke through Max Hawthorn’s self-pity
on Christmas Eve morning.
He jumped up, pounded down the deck stairs,
and raced across the tightly packed sand to the edge of the water. He
staggered once, clutching his head for a precious moment before the
world righted itself.
“Where are you? Wave your hands so I can see you!” The waters of this
secluded California beach weren’t known for sharks but that didn’t mean
there was no danger. Rip currents, drowning, even jellyfish could
render a swimmer incapacitated. And in late December, the water was
downright cold.
What the hell was she doing out there?
“Help!” Her voice was stronger now. Was she closer? He scanned the waves, searching for any break in the relatively calm waters.
There she was. Twenty yards down the beach, about fifty yards out. He
ran as best he could, his head pounding with every step. What am I
doing? But he knew. As long as he still had some strength, he would help
this person. A few weeks or months on and he would be forced to let a
stranger die, but his body wasn’t quite gone yet.
He waded into the chilly water, lunging toward the bobbing head. The
voice hadn’t said anything in a couple of minutes but one arm flailed
and her head was clearly visible above the waves.
“I’m coming for you! Keep holding on!”
Max broke the water in an awkward half dive and stroked toward her,
the cold shock working against him on all levels. His head was spinning
and he started to gray out a couple of times before his head cleared.
He reached the woman in a couple of minutes and locked his hands
around her wrist. This part would be the hardest of all. He had to
somehow tow her in, despite the pounding of his head, the dizziness that
caused his vision to darken around the edges.
She lifted her head and blinked.
At the edge of the room stood a large cat. Large was probably an
underestimate. It was huge. She watched it, holding her breath when its
sides rippled in movement. It could rip her apart.
She’d just dropped into Looking Glass Land. Or Saturnalia.
“Oh my God, it’s the biggest leopard I’ve ever seen!”
Gianni snapped into action. “Get around her other side, Fabrizio. And strip, fast. I need your energy.”
She felt rather than heard Fabrizio move, sliding quickly across the
room to stand next to her. “Don’t move, Sandi. It’s waiting for you. You
called it, so you’re the target. If you want us to get you out of this,
do exactly what we tell you. I know telling you to ask no questions is
like asking Dita to leave her corset off, but please try. We don’t have
any time to waste.”
A breath of air told her Gianni was on her other side. Fabrizio, busy
taking his clothes off—WTF?—glanced at him once. Gianni put his hand on
her shoulder and chanted something in a language she didn’t know. It
wasn’t Italian, or Latin.
The animal snarled, its lip curling above huge ivory fangs.
“Listen, Sandi.” Gianni’s voice came in softly. “This is real,
understand? You’ve invoked a demon and it takes the form of a great cat.
We can get you out of this. But only if you do as we say.”
Sandi nodded.
“Take off your clothes. I need your essence, love.”
“What?” She was startled enough to turn and stare at him.
Bare-chested, Gianni was every woman’s dream; strong and lean, with
no spare flesh anywhere about him. His biceps flexed as he slowly lifted
his arms and traced symbols in the air. “That should hold it for now.
But to banish it I need to do more. If we move out of this space, within
three feet of the pavement, it will kill us all.”
The animal moved, its black spots rippling along its fur as it slunk around them, trying to find a way in.
Gianni’s breath fell hot on her neck. “This is basic, primitive
magic. I need to join with you and Fabrizio. Both of you at the same
time. Then I’ll take the energy I need from you both. It’s an ancient
ritual of my people.” He glanced at Fabrizio. “Our people.”
Margeaux sighed deeply as she scrubbed at the caked-on tomato sauce
that clung to the plate. Her head was down, her eyes locked on the sudsy
water and the pale blue plate shimmering beneath the bubbles. With her
bottom lip tucked between her teeth, she worked at the dried red crust
that clung to the plate like a leech. So intent was she on removing the
offending scab that when the sudden blast of wind hit the window over
the sink, she jumped. She snapped her head up to stare at her reflection
in the frosted glass. Wincing, she put up a suds-coated hand to push
back a strand of hair that had escaped the bun at her nape. As she ran
the base of her thumb over the runaway, the clink of the snow pummeling
the windowpane made her shiver. It was blizzard weather and the warmth
from the radiant heaters was struggling to keep the kitchen bearable.
‘Ten to fourteen inches,’ she remembered the newscaster saying. ‘Whiteout conditions by midnight.’
It was Wythentide Eve and snow always fell on Wythentide. Ice
carnivals were held all over the planet during the holidays between the
Winter Solstice and Fairing Night but the most important one was
Wythentide. It was on that day the doorway between this world and the
next opened. When a whiteout occurred on the eve of the great day, it
was considered an omen.
And not a very good omen at that.
Well, she thought as she stared out the window at the snow blowing
across her backyard, it was going to have to step it up if there was
going to be a dreaded whiteout. While the snow was coming down in a
thick curtain, she could still see the fence at the back of her property
and that was about eighty feet away. Not that she cared if there was a
whiteout. She didn’t believe in omens. Wasn’t superstitious. She never
ventured beyond her front door even in the heat of summer so it matter
little to her if the snow obscured her vision. Being an agoraphobic in
an An Rúis did have its upside.
Lowering her head once more, she scrubbed more vigorously at the
accumulated sauce until something her Aunt Therese had once said stole
through her memory.
‘Scrub lightly and not hard. The light strokes will wear away the
dirt quicker. The harder you scrub, the more you push the grime into the
carpet.’
She stopped, flipped the sponge over and very gently ran it over the caked-on sauce. The spot came away easily.
“Huh,” she said aloud as she lifted the plate out of the water to
inspect it. The scab was gone and the plate was sparkling clean. Turning
on the faucet, she ran it under the cold water then slid it into the
slot in the drainer.
Squeezing out the sponge, she poked it into the mouth of the
whimsical little ceramic green frog perched on the back of the sink and
fished under the water to remove the sink stopper. As the water began to
drain, she returned her gaze to the window.
And nearly screamed.
Her heart stuttered as she stared at the figure of a man standing
under the security lamp in the falling snow. He was facing the house
with his hands jammed into the pockets of a dark pea coat, his hair
blowing in the wild whip of glacial wind. The broad shoulders of the
coat were rimed with snow. She could not see his face but instinct told
her his eyes were locked on her.
Fear closed her throat and she backed away from the sink. Her hands
were dripping wet. Cutting her eyes to the backdoor beside the sink, she
could feel her heart thudding hard in her chest; hear it pounding in
her ears.
Was the door locked?
She shook her head.
When wasn’t it? She rarely opened it except in the sweltering heat of mid-summer and then she never unhooked the screen door.
The very flimsy screen door that lay behind the multi-paned door that was her only protection between her and the outside world.
She bit down on her lip.
Slowly she swung her gaze to the window over the sink—hoping the dark figure was gone then praying it wasn’t.
He was still standing there hunched into his coat with the snow
cascading thickly around him. It didn’t seem as if he’d moved at all. He
was ankle-deep in a drift with the light from the security lamp washing
over him in a faint yellow pyramid.
Reasoning she had more than ample time before he could wade through
the snowbank to reach the stoop, she shifted her gaze to the door to
make sure it was securely locked. Trembling now, she saw that it was but
the relief she felt was short lived. Her mind shot to the front door.
Had she locked it behind Jon when he had come to deliver her groceries?
Loathe to leave the kitchen for fear the stranger lurking in her
backyard would break through the primarily glass door, she reached out
to grip the edge of the sink. Her knees felt like water—about to run out
from under her—as she clamped her fingers onto the porcelain to stare
at the stranger.
He might as well have been a statue for he hadn’t moved at all. The
only thing stirring was his hair as it was tousled by the strong gusts
of wind.
“What do you want?” she asked aloud. Her heart was trip hammering
behind her ribcage to make her feel lightheaded. She hadn’t expected at
answer but when one came, she nearly fainted.
After an hour or so they stopped at a stream dappled with shadows
from overhanging trees. It sang merrily as it plopped over rocks and a
fallen log half-drowning in its clear course.
“It’s a lovely area,” Elizabeth said.
“Made all the more so by the company.”
“You are ever the flatterer,” she said.
“No, my dear, I’m honest.” He stared at the stream rather than at her
when he said, “Except that you appear far too melancholy. Do you still
grieve for Henry?”
She drew a breath. It started now. “I do, some. But more I grieve for all the ways I wronged him.”
That silenced him for a moment as he turned to flash a glance her way
then looked back at the stream. “How do you believe you wronged him?”
It came out sharper than the earlier question.
Elizabeth straightened her spine, gathering her courage. “In many
ways. I was a poor wife to him. I tried but I wasn’t the woman he
needed.”
“What do you believe he needed that you couldn’t supply?”
She sighed. “I’m not entirely certain. I think perhaps someone
gentler, more understanding, more tolerant of his faults, yet one who
could be subtle enough and smart enough to curb some of his excesses.”
He turned back to her again, his features pulled into a troubled expression. “Excesses?”
“He drank more than was wise. Gambled. Spent every farthing he could get his hands on.”
Richard’s frown turned even darker. “Did he leave you penniless?”
“Not quite.”
“How have you lived this past year?”
“Carefully,” she admitted. “But I have managed.”
“Why did you not tell me this?”
“My lord, Richard, we are not related by blood. It was not your responsibility.”
“As I was Henry’s guardian, I naturally feel responsibility for his
family.” He took another step toward her. “Which brings us to the
question of your future. I should be happy to take a hand in finding you
another husband.”
“No.” It came out without thought and more sharply than she expected.
“No, please, Richard. I’m not ready to be wife to another yet. I’m not
fit.”
“Because you were unable to restrain Henry? Or unable to understand him as perhaps you thought you should?”
“No, there’s more,” she admitted, “But I…” She dropped her face into
her hands as she struggled to get out the damning words. Breath refused
to form them. “No, I can’t,” she said.
“Not right now. I will, I promise. But not right now.”
A finger pressed beneath her chin, forcing her face up. She hadn’t
heard him get so close and was surprised to look up directly into
Richard’s gray eyes. “If it’s related to what you’ve told me already, I
doubt it could be so horribly shocking and unforgivable. Did you have an
affair?”
This time her eyes widened. “No. Of course not.”
“Then I doubt it will be so awful.”
Elizabeth tried again to tell him, but the words caught in her
throat. His closeness was doing strange things to her. Her blood seemed
to bubble and froth within her. Her heart pounded hard against her
chest. His aromas of leather and horse and man surrounded her, drawing
her toward him.
His fingers stroked down the side of her cheek and the warmth of it
sent a thrill careening down her spine. When he leaned toward her, she
watched the blade of his nose, the hard planes of cheek, the well-shaped
lips move closer and closer. His mouth came down on hers, all sweet
softness and delicious heat. She closed her eyes, the better to soak in
the sensations that contact roused. Glorious tingling heat rushed from
her lips to settle down deep in her womb.
Her mouth opened in a soft moan. His tongue swept in to explore the
depths and recesses. Excitement frothed her blood and bubbled through
her. Desire rose, making her want to open more than just her mouth to
him. She wanted to feel his hands on parts of her body below her face.
Her breath sped up and she reached up to cup her hands in his thick,
soft hair.
A few exciting moments later, he broke away and took a step back. “Elizabeth… I’m sorry. I should not have done that.”
She collected her breath. “Why not, Richard? We are both free of other promises.”
“But we must find you a husband who’ll treasure you as you deserve.”
“As I deserve,” she echoed softly. She shook her head. “That is the
issue. I deserve nothing. But what about yourself, Richard? Surely you
mean to marry again. You’ve a title to pass on.”
He swallowed hard. “I do mean to marry. Perhaps soon. I’m hopeful.”
“She is a most fortunate lady then.”
“Perhaps not,” he said. “I have a title and some fortune, but I am no easy man to live with.”
“Even so you’re a worthy match.” She grinned through the remains of
her tears. “I think you would ever be a challenge, so your wife would
rarely be bored.”
He looked startled, then a wry grin spread across his face. “You may
be right. But it will take a special woman to see it that way. And to
accept the challenge I present.”
“Are you really that hard to accept, Richard?”
“Yes, I am. Much more so than you can guess.” He stopped and backed
up another step. “I suppose we should be returning before someone begins
to wonder where we are.”

Love, love this story. Plus their job roles are reversed and that just
added an another element to the story. Plus, did I mention friends to
lovers? *swoon* On the Eighteenth of January, ’78; or, A Night At Valley Forge by Regina Kammer
During the infamous winter of ‘77-‘78 at Valley Forge, two soldiers
fanboy over their charismatic leader, General George Washington. Review: I admit that this one pushed my limits too
but once I thought about it and reconsider my initial thoughts, this one
is a gem. Yes, its M/M and its not too graphic in nature. Pay
attention to the dialogue and you will understand why this one is a true
gem in my book. I can be dense but once you stop and think…brilliant. The Christmas Leopard by Lynne Connolly
Two gorgeous Italian hunks save art restorer Sandi when she accidentally
summons an ancient evil from a mosaic. Their methods are
unconventional—and scorching hot! Review: Ms. Connolly is one of those writers that I
have read for years and she never disappoints. Menage at its finest
with a paranormal twist that was fresh and new. Christmas Bad Girl by Trinity Blacio
She only had one wish this Christmas. To find the one man who was strong enough to master her in and bed and out. Review: And I thought I had body issues. But what’s
a girl to do when she’s taller than most. Loved, loved the sci fi
twist with the Jolly Green Giant. Plus, OMG, the cute meet was one of
the best I’ve read in a long time. Did I mention toys? *grin* How The Alien Stole Christmas by Belle Scarlett
On board a deep space station Christmas Trent learns her sexy cyber lover, who may not be human, wants to steal her for his own. Review: *thud* For some reason, I wasn’t too keen
on this one because it was sci fi but Ms. Scarlett made me believe in
aliens, humans and that her world is out there. It also had a bit of
suspense element in it that just heighten my enjoyment of the story.
Where can I get one? Merry Christmas, Kitten by Nicole Austin
Sirena Petra wants one thing for Christmas—an orgasm. And sex toy
expert Kenyon Fort has exactly what the lion shifter needs to find more
than just her happy place. Review: Another great story by Ms. Austin. Yes,
I’ve read her before. *giggles* And as much as I don’t read much
shifter stories, I loved this one. Especially since it had a lioness
shifter with trust issues. The sex is scorching but the ending is
sweet. Viking in Tartan by Suz deMello
Medieval romance from the Highland Vampires series. A Viking raider
brings change to little Clan Kilbirnie, especially to the chieftain’s
daughter, Rhona. Review: I hate when I read a story and there are
like ALOT more in the series. *grins* Now I’m going to have to buy the
whole series to find out if the curse stays within the clan or not.
Damn it Ms. deMello! NOT! Thank you for opening my eyes to a
wonderful series and it has Highlanders! Woo Hoo! Holdin’ On by Alexa Silver
Rock star Max is terminally ill. When Aislin falls into his life,
rocking his world, everything changes. Is she his Christmas miracle? Review: Overall, this one made me cry a bit. I hate when
characters are sick. But Ms. Silver had me believing in the impossible.
Plus, Max and Aislin were real, believable and sweet. Oh yes, big awe
moment for me in the end. Ms. Silver is a new to me author and I will
be looking at her backlist…pronto! OVERALL REVIEW:
Outstanding about sums it up. Some pushed my limits, some used my
favorite tropes and who knew that a lion shifter had her mate in front
of her the whole time? You really need to grab this anthology and enjoy
the holiday season with this offering from some of my favorite authors.
I would like to thank Marianne Stephens for giving me the ARC to review. Again, outstanding and brilliant. Author Information:

Here's the 4-1-1 about Viking in Tartan, amedieval
romance from the Highland Vampires series: A Viking raider brings change to
little Clan Kilbirnie, especially to the chieftain’s daughter Rhona.
And here's a sexy little snippet to jumpstart your weekend:
He kissed her neck, feathering his tongue over the sensitive
skin, and all conscious thought fled. She gripped his shoulders, then stroked
them, admiring his strength, a contrast to his sweet, sweet kisses.
Her body was heating, tingling, sizzling, and she wanted to
touch herself the way she did when she was alone at night, but... Wasn’t that
wanton? Would he cease to treat her kindly if he knew the desires that drove
her?
He lifted his head. “Touch yourself. Touch yourself in
whatever way feels good to you.”

Him could only refer to one man. Zeb held General George
Washington in something more than high regard. He worshipped the man,
hoping for a chance to see him every day, blushing and fawning like a
virgin miss at an assembly hall during a country dance whenever the
general happened across their squad. Barn wasn’t sure if it was
endearing or unseemly.
Yet, it was too easy to fall under the spell that was “GW”. The general had an allure, a magnetism
that drew all in, making women swoon and men want to serve. If the
notion of independent states, the freedom to rise above circumstance of
birth, the prospect of taxes building a nation rather than filling a
king’s coffers did not attract the sons and daughters of America, then
GW the man certainly did.
Just his very presence got one’s blood to boil
against tyranny, set one’s pulse beating to the rhythm of liberty,
urged one’s feet to march for freedom.
GW was the sole reason why twelve thousand American soldiers camped
on a plateau above a captured Philadelphia, keeping a watchful eye on
the British while enduring freezing rains and the privations of
civilized life, lacking proper clothes, nourishing food, suffering the
pains of amputation and the stench of death.
“He was on foot,” Zeb murmured. “His great height the equal of mine
own, yet I felt so small before him. His blue eyes penetrated my soul as
he asked such simple questions—”
Zeb’s cock sprang to life in his clothes, pushing into Barn’s left butt cheek. Barn stifled a sigh.
“Did we have enough tools? Was there enough wood?”
Barn reached around and slowly unfastened the buttons at the fall of Zeb’s breeches. As always, Zeb gave no protest.
“He seemed very concerned our hut had not yet been constructed.”
Barn snorted. “Yeah, well, with Alex and Johnny laid up with dysentery and Zack dead, it’s been slow going.”
Zeb did not respond. He merely adjusted himself to allow Barn’s
questing fingers better access at the placket of his drawers. Barn
struggled to contain his zeal.
“He took off his hat to speak to me. His gray hair was still tinged with a touch of the auburn of his youth.”
Freed from its prison of clothes, Zeb’s magnificent manhood bobbed
impetuously. Barn gripped the hard flesh, closing his eyes as heat from
the intimate connection seeped through his fingerless gloves to course
through his body.
“His timbre was melodious, almost enchanting. I could listen to him talk about felling trees all day.”
Barn chuckled. “And not do any felling yourself, hmm?”
Again Zeb ignored him, instead steering the conversation to his
favorite topic. “How do you think he guards against the cold all alone
in his tent?” There was a poignant earnestness to his question.
Barn twisted around to face his companion, the adulation and concern
in Zeb’s expression softly illuminated by the dying campfire outside.
“I’m sure his greatcoat keeps him plenty warm.” Zeb’s devotion to GW
spawned a fragility that impelled Barn to want to protect his tent mate,
to comfort him in the only way he knew how.
Pulling the bathroom door half closed behind her, Jewel walked back
into the main room of the suite, hoping Oscar wasn’t asleep in front of
the television yet.
But both Oscar and Donovan were standing in the main room, still looking around in a confused sort of way.
“Take pity on us, Jewel. We’re only men, remember. Why are we here?
Are we supposed to have sex? It’s a big bed, but we’ve got one of those
at home,” asked Donovan.
“Or are we on our way somewhere else? But there’s no luggage with
costumes for us to change into or whatever,” added Oscar, looking all
around.
“Tonight is my holiday gift to us all,” began Jewel.
“Oh no. Was I supposed to buy you a gift, too?” joked Oscar.
Jewel swatted his arm lightly. “I thought after the shopping you
might be ready to relax and have some fun. You’ve both been working so
hard lately, I thought it was time we had an opportunity just to play.
So get naked and come into the bathroom, and we’ll play.”
“Play in the bathroom? Not play in the bed?” asked Donovan.
“Well, likely we’ll play in the bed later. But right now we’re going to play in the bathroom.”
“I like shower sex,” said Oscar, kicking off his shoes.
“Good point. I do, too,” added Donovan, pulling his sweater over his head.
Jewel watched them as she undressed. They were both incredibly yummy
in totally different ways. Oscar’s pale skin was a delightful foil to
his red hair. His long, lean limbs were muscled, but wiry. Donovan was
much broader across the shoulders, his torso more triangular in shape.
Jewel swiped her hand across her mouth to make sure she wasn’t drooling at the delightful picture they made.
She grabbed lube and condoms out of her purse, left her clothing
folded neatly on a chair, and walked into the bathroom. Exactly as she’d
planned, the hot tub was piled high with bubbles, and more bubbles
danced on the outer rim of the tub. A few had broken free and were
floating in the air.
She put the lube and condoms on the sink, within easy reach of the
tub, and sank down into the water. It was lovely — warm enough that they
could have part of their bodies out of the water without feeling cold,
but not so hot as to make them too relaxed and sleepy. Always a
consideration with Oscar!
“Holy shit!”
“What the fuck?”
“Doesn’t everyone dream of a White Christmas?” she challenged them.
“Only your seriously warped brain could dream of this as a White
Christmas, but I can think of some good things to do with these
bubbles.” Donovan stepped into the tub and scooped a handful of foam and
painted it across his chest. Laughing, he made a circle of bubbles
around his nipple, then a line of them arrowing toward his cock.
Oscar scooped up the bubbles and made himself a crown.
Jewel smiled and relaxed. Her plan was working. Both men were
starting to de-stress and enjoy themselves. For the next half hour they
relaxed and talked, swatting bubbles at each other, having a kind of
tennis match by batting foam back and forth across the tub, and even
sported an impromptu
costume dress-up party, using only bubbles.
But gradually a different kind of tension was building. Sexual
tension. Jewel was thrilled to see their cocks standing up and
engorging. To see Oscar’s gaze fixed on her breasts. To see Donovan
licking his lips and rubbing his palms on his thighs.

Chapter One
Almost
there. Just a little bit more.
Every muscle in Sirena Petra’s body
stretched taut and she panted to draw much-needed oxygen into her burning
lungs. Perspiration glistened on her skin as she writhed against black silk
sheets, desperate to crest the plateau. Her need to orgasm had surpassed the
crisis point and become painful agony.
Fumbling with the buttons beneath her
fingertips, she shifted the silver vibrating marvel into overdrive. The device
buzzed louder and metal beads in the shaft sprung to life, rotating against her
sweet spot as devilish projections tormented her pulsing clitoris.
With her other hand, Sirena palmed a
heavy breast and pinched her taut nipple. Fiery jolts of sensation arced
between the two pleasure centers. Her body clenched, going statue-still for
several heartbeats as she teetered on the edge of the precipice…
And once again fell flat without
finding satisfaction.
She reached between trembling thighs,
the still-humming toy creating a wet slurping sound as she pulled it from the
tight clasp of her pussy. When she dropped it onto the bed, the plastic toy gave
a halfhearted, weak jiggle and shiny silver balls slowed then ceased spinning
as the motor wheezed, coughed and gave one final death rattle before falling
silent.
All she wanted for Christmas was an
orgasm or two. She didn’t think that was asking too much.
Cursing a blue streak, Sirena grabbed
her cell phone from the nightstand and texted “911” to Kenyon Fort. Less than a
minute later music from her favorite indie rock band filled the room. She slid
her thumb over the touch screen and shivered as Kenyon’s rich smoke-and-whiskey
voice glided across her sensitized body in a velvety caress.
“What did you break this time?”
“The expensive as hell Platinum
Powerhouse,” she huffed. Oh, she hadn’t paid full price. Never did. She had a
great deal worked out with Kenyon. He sold her toys at cost and she designed
and maintained his website at a majorly discounted rate. Theirs was the perfect
partnership.
Kenyon sighed his frustration. “Well,
now you’re really screwed, Kitten.”
Her heart fluttered hearing his pet
name for her but her gaze narrowed on the vibrator, brow furrowing with her irritation.
“How so?”
“The Platinum Powerhouse was the big
guns, Sirena. The last resort. You’ve tried all the strongest vibrators
available. Hell, I made that one specifically for you.”
“So that means…” Her words trailed
off and she swallowed hard.
“You’re shit out of luck,” Kenyon
finished for her. “There is no vibrator that can survive the abuse you dish out.”
He muttered something under his
breath she didn’t try to make out, all her thoughts wrapped up in her current
dilemma. Major downside to the strength inherent in being a shape-shifting
lioness—the strong contractions of her pelvic muscles. She’d strangled all her
vibrators to an untimely death and had yet to find a living, breathing man who
could get her where she needed to go during sex.
“But Ken—” She cringed at the plaintive
tone of her voice. “What the hell am I going to do?” If only her kind weren’t
so rare then she’d have a chance of finding a mate.
Sirena shook her head. She didn’t
really want a mate. Male cats were either loners who never stayed in one place
for long or polygamists who had a pride of women they fucked. They certainly
weren’t committed to any one female. Her footloose and fancy free father stood
as the perfect example, constantly shuffling around between eight lionesses who
shared him. Sirena wanted children but had no desire to be a sister wife or a
single parent trying to raise a shifter cub in a predominantly human society
without the support of his or her father. No
thanks!
“Have you considered trying a real
cock? Because, damn, Sirena, I’ve got to be honest here. That powerful pussy of
yours has become the star of my favorite fantasies.”
“Gee, Kenyon, now why didn’t I think
of that?” Sirena sighed heavily. “Every real cock I’ve tried hasn’t lasted long
enough. Size and shape don’t matter—neither do skill of the user. Even the porn
star with the supposed legendary stamina wasn’t able to go the distance.”
Kenyon’s breathing quickened and he
groaned. If Sirena wasn’t in such a state of abject misery she would have
laughed instead of getting irritated by his rather typical male reaction.
“Kenyon?”
“Yeah?” His voice had deepened, taken
on a sexy rasp.
“You better not be whacking off or
I’m going to hunt you down, string you up by your balls and spend hours
torturing you.”
“Damn it, Sirena, would you stop
trying to turn me on.”
His unexpected comment brought her up
short. What kind of man got hot and bothered by a threat? “Don’t give up your
day job to become a comedian because you’re really not very funny.”
“That wasn’t a joke but whatever, I
have an idea. I’ll need a couple of hours. You weren’t planning on going out,
were you?”
“In my current mood… Hell no. I’d
probably rip some poor slob’s throat out for daring to glance my way. But, um—”
